No Ocean Deep

(ISBN: 1-932300-36-8)

Now available from Regal Crest Enterprises, No Ocean Deep is the second novel from Australian author and journalist, Cate Swannell.

Picking up where Heart's Passage left off, No Ocean Deep continues the story of Jo and Cadie as they work to establish their relationship and their life together in the tropical islands of north Australia.

Jo must reconcile with her parents, after 15 years spent leading a double life, before she can begin to forgive herself for her dark past.

Meanwhile, Cadie has unfinished business with her former partner, the dangerous and volatile Naomi, whose political career and sanity are balanced on a knife edge.

Jo and Cadie endure separation and an emotional rollercoaster that takes them from the Great Barrier Reef, to the wilds of the Australian outback, and to the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, and Madison, Wisconsin.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

No Ocean Deep is now available for $18.95 (US) from bookstores and online outlets. I personally recommend Starcrossed Productions, which ships books all over the planet.

If you don't see No Ocean Deep on the shelves of your local independent bookstore, give them the ISBN (1-932300-36-8) and they will be able to order it for you from the Ingram's or Baker and Taylor's booksellers' databases.

Australians wishing to purchase a copy should contact me at kotb@qldnet.com.au.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

I've taken the online version of No Ocean Deep out of circulation for two reasons.

First, it's a question of quality control. The online version was, essentially, the first draft. The story has gone through many manifestations since I first posted it here. The published version contains new material and is a much more polished article.

Secondly, Regal Crest Enterprises is the book's publisher and owns the rights to No Ocean Deep. Legally, the publisher could insist I withdraw it. It hasn't, but I also believe leaving it online would be shooting both Regal Crest and myself in the foot, from a business point of view.

The story is still archived at the Royal Academy of Bards and will remain so for as long as they are happy to host it.
